Toshiba to roll out 'thinnest' 10-inch tablet at CES

Toshiba claims it is going to introduce the world's thinnest 10-inchtablet at the Consumer Electronics Show next week in Las Vegas.
The company's Japanese-language Web site says it's the thinnest and lightest 10.1-inch tablet in the world.
Though Toshiba's not revealing a model number, it's probably a good bet that the mystery tablet is one already available in Japan: the Regza AT700. Or the very similar Toshiba Excite, slated to appear in in the U.S. later this month.
It's thin at 7.7mm.

And, yes, it is thin. All 7.7 mm of it. The iPad 2, by comparison, is 8.8 mm thick. At 558g, it's slightly less than the iPad's 613g.
If that is indeed what Toshiba is talking about, other specs include Android 3.2, a Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 dual-core 1.2GHz chip, a 1,280x800 resolution display, 1GB system memory, up to 32GB of flash memory storage, up to 7 hours of rated battery life, and HDMI, USB 2.0, and microSD ports.
A 2-megapixel Webcam is on front, while a 5-megapixel camera is on the back.
No pricing is available in the U.S. but one model is listed at 62,000 yen in Japan or about $800here.
